Our 2011 Gallery

2011 was all about refinement. We'd re-established the business in the US in 2010, and spent 2011 refining our workshop, streamlining working processes in the shop and on the website, and generally transforming from the "New busines stumbling around" stage into something more approximating efficient functioning. There were no huge changes to the site this year, only a host of minor tweaks. 2011 was a good business year for us, something I'm thankful for as the Great Recession kept dragging on and on and the EU struggled over what to do with indebted Greece. There were two new items added to the great worldwide web, also - First, local shop Pipe & Pint got their new website up and running, and started offering the first new Talberts and Ligne Bretagnes in several years. Secondly, as mentioned in the sidebar, I kickstarted a little personal project, a movie review site dedicated to the oddball and cheesy movies I love. Kentucky Fried Popcorn added to my writing workload but it was a worthwhile addition because it gave me something different to do online, as well as a place to practice the craft of writing about something other than pipes. I hope to do more extensive writing work in future, and KFP makes an ideal testing ground for ideas.
